M1 motorway
Looking west along the M1 from the Derryhubbert Road near Peatlands Park. For a short distance the minor road seems only to be separated from the M1 by a relatively flimsy mesh fence, though there may be a safety barrier similar to that running down the middle of the motorway out of sight from this viewpoint.

Barbecue Area Peatlands Park, Derryhubbert Road, Dungannon
The Park, situated just off the M1 at junction 13, was the first of its type in the British Isles and was specifically established to promote and facilitate "peatland" awareness and issues. It is owned and managed by the N. I. Environment and Heritage Service. Visitors, at no cost, can explore the 680 acre site on foot, with 10 miles of paths leading through the many and varied habitats within the park. A narrow gauge railway, associated with the area since the 1950's, snakes through the park for a 1.5km journey. The new locomotive can take up to 70 passengers. Two of the carriages have been specially adapted to take wheelchairs. Both adults and children can enjoy the journey around the park. Close by the railway platform, a short stroll around the Bog Garden will provide the visitor with a chance to see virtually all the plant and flower species associated with peatland habitat.
