Island Turf Crafts Shop
This shop is in the Coalisland Enterprise Centre on the Dungannon road. Turf has been excavated from some of Ireland's oldest boglands and processed to create a unique range of turf ornaments including clocks, Celtic crosses picture frames, jewellery and other souvenirs. At the back of the shop is the Bog Museum, where you can step back in time, and see the many exhibits of old artefacts which reveal much about the rich and varied history of Ireland before and after the ice age. Former Mill of the Coalisland Weaving Company
In a first floor room is this large calendering machine with drying 'cans'. This was driven by a diagonal duplex steam engine by James Broughton & Co of Manchester and installed in the 1930s. The engine's exhaust heated the cans and in this setting the mechanical power of the engine was virtually free as heat was needed in the cans. The engine is hidden in a corner at the back and very tight against the wall. This site had been a museum but by 2005 was closed and its current status is not known.

Former mill of the Coalisland Weaving Company
This is a calendering machine driven by a diagonal duplex (inverted vee) steam engine (seen in the shadows on the left). The latter was by James Broughton & Co of Manchester and installed in the 1870s. It ceased work in 1977 when much of the mill burnt down.
