Type “N” letter box (BT67 38) at Aghalee post office on the Lurgan Road. Designed to include its own mounting post so the Royal Mail no longer needs to find a convenient lamppost or telegraph pole.

Sign of the times
The recent council almalgamations has required new signs. Lisburn City is now Lisburn and Castlereagh City. I was born and raised in Belfast and Castlereagh was just a suburb up the road a bit. Now, joined to Lisburn, it's a city and a long way from the rural village of Aghalee where this photo was taken.
