This might be an ex-Royal Mail VR wall box, on the Hall Road, or it might be a very good reproduction. It has the inscription “WT Allen & Co London” who were one of the official makers of the product – see Image and Image
The owner makes it very clear that this is not an official box. The notice plate reads “PLEASE DO NOT PLACE MAIL IN THIS BOX It may self-destruct in 20 seconds”.
