Waterwheel at Craigavon Balancing Lakes, City Park
This wheel was brought from the south of the Province, refurbished and installed as a water feature in one of the drainage channels from the developed land of Craigavon. It has never had any engineering function with drainage.

Wind Turbine Generation of Electricity
The open space area of Craigavon Balancing Lakes in the City Park provides an almost constant source of wind and through the Turbine it provides electricity for the running of the Sports Centre.

Watersports Activity at Craigavon Lakes, City Park
The Water Sports Centre for outdoor pursuits is located on the edge of Craigavon Lakes in attractive, open parkland. This is an ideal venue for youth groups, coach parties or families looking for a varied and exciting day out. Choose from Banana Boating, Water-skiing, windsurfing, sailing or canoeing. The shallow lake adjacent to the centre is ideal for beginners, while the larger lake offers challenges to the advanced watersports enthusiast. An alternative to watersports, on-land activities including orienteering, cycling and various team and initiative games are organized. Our qualified instructors provide modern and advanced teaching techniques using specialist equipment. There is a spectacular trail for walking or cycling surrounding Craigavon lakes. It is approximately 3 miles long with many other paths running off the main route.
