Carving of Alice and Mock Turtle
Characters from Lewis Carroll's "Alice In Wonderland" in Eden Villa Park, Bachelors Walk, Portadown. The carvings,by Ivan McNally, are formed, mostly from the trunks of beech trees which needed to be cut down for one reason or another. Instead of pulling the trunks out altogether, grounds maintenance staff suggested making features from them.
Update These two sculptures have been irreparably damaged by vandals in May 2016
