Plaque near Deighton House
Part of the inscription includes place names and dates as follows (the latter is difficult to make out) , "From Clan Tilew, Armagh, Loughgall, Charlemont, Portadown by xxx Wood, XXXX, Verner's Bridge and Blackwater Foot"

Clantilew Road Railway Bridge
The original route belonged to the Great Northern Railway (Ireland) and was part of the old Portadown > Dungannon to Derry line, which traversed the WEST side of Lough Neagh. It closed in 1965

Country Crossing
One of the region's best kept secrets* is the old route of the Portadown to Derry railway, of which this is one of the original road bridges still in service. Note the original railway telegraph/telephone pole complete with white insulators.
*The route is not shown on current OSNI mapping, even as a former railway.
