Ruins of St. Luke's old church
This part was probably left standing, supported by buttresses added later, because a large memorial tablet was laid on the ground in the entrance to the church. It can still be read today. This photograph was taken from the graveyard. See Image

Ruins of west gable and bell tower, St. Luke's Parish, Loughgall
This old church was in such bad repair and a danger to the congregation towards the end of the 1700's. The stones and materials were dismantled and sold to pay for the erection of a new church on a larger site. See Image
