The Knock River, Belfast - April 2014(1)
The Knock River, on the upstream side of the King’s Road, where the banks are covered by thick vegetation. This stretch of the river does not seem to be included in the Connswater Greenway scheme.

Old boundary post, King's Road, Belfast - April 2014 (1)
See Image (July 2008), Image and Image (both March 2011). This must be one of the few places, in Belfast, where there are several old boundary posts within a minute of each other. This one, also close to the Knock River, is on the King’s Road near the corner of the Gilnahirk Road. Image shows the inscription.

Old boundary post, King's Road, Belfast - April 2014 (2)
See Image The inscription “PARLIAMENTARY AND MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY OF BELFAST POTTINGER DIVISION POTTINGER WARD 1918”. To the best of my knowledge many boundaries were changed in 1918 with the passing of The Representation of the People Act http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Representation_of_the_People_Act_1918.

The Comber Greenway, Belfast (8)
A stretch of the Comber Greenway (formerly the Belfast and County Down railway – closed 1950) to the east of the Kings Road – in the distance). There has been a long-standing (and much opposed) proposal to convert it to a guided busway. On 7 October 2011 the BBC reported “It is understood the formal announcement not to use the Comber Greenway as part of a rapid bus transit system will be made next week”. This is a Geograph example of a guided busway http://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/679. This You Tube link shows one in operation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPhhbF0Ms7g&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PLCFA177369D8C38E8.
