A flock of feral pigeons taking all my bird-seed without so much as a by-your-leave. I really must invest in a covered ground-feeder although as a friend once told me, we are all Gods creatures, even feral pigeons!!

Goldfinch keeping watch
A goldfinch on a niger seed feeder. This is one of several who visit my feeders. Had a flock of 23 at end of September but with the change in weather and the presence of the local sparrow-hawk the numbers have dwindled to around 6.
