Almost all of the houses in this terrace have taken advantage of grants to improve the appearance of their property and have been repainted. It's amazing what a simple coat of paint can do.

The Kelvin Project
Information sign explaining the new trans-atlantic telecommunications link between Europe and N.America. The connection comes ashore at Portrush in Northern Ireland, it is then fed south to the rest of Ireland. This will enhance the already existing link with N.America.and with the rest of Europe.

"North West" Saturday, Portrush station
See Image Later in the day some of the large crowd had, despite the best endeavours of railway employees, found their way onto the track at Portrush station. The 14.35 Portrush – Coleraine (93,761,750) is passing – very slowly. There is now proper fencing.

Metropole Hotel fire, Portrush
Firemen hosing down the hotel from an elevated position. The hotel had been set alight sometime during the early morning. It has become quite a regular occurrence in and around Portrush in recent years especially as we have so many unused buildings waiting for development.
