Cul-Erg, Portstewart
It is located at Hillside, near the harbour - see Image] There was two houses built here about the early 1900's by an Australian man, the left one being Melbourne House occupied by Dr Monteith and the right hand one was named Tasmania House lived in by Mr Walmsley the dentist. The name of the left dwelling is still embedded in the fanlight above the door - see Image] The present owners both from County Tyrone, re-named the property on the right, Cul-Erg, which in itself sounds very Irish, but in fact Cul is short for Cullion, where Marie came from and Erg is short for Erganagh where JJ was born See updated view taken to July 2018 Image]
