Gravestone, Rathlin Island
Grave in the churchyard of the Parish Church of St Thomas Image The stone records that the grave is of one Carl Piel who died, aged 26, on the 23rd September 1868. The stone was erected by His Serene Highness Prince Albrecht of Waldeck. See also Image for a plaque erected inside the church.

War grave, Rathlin Island
Grave in the churchyard of the Parish Church of St Thomas Image This is a war grave for 41 year old H.W. Holder, a stoker lost from HMS 'Racoon' which was sunk on the 9th January 1918 - see http://www.northantrim.com/HMSRacoonHMSViknor.htm for further information on the ship. The Commonwealth War Graves site records that he was the son of Thomas William Holder, of Rochester, Kent.

St Thomas's Church of Ireland Parish Church, Rathlin
This church shares its vicar with Ballintoy and Dunseverick. Sunday Services are held weekly in July and August and on the 3rd Sunday only between September and June http://www.ballintoy.connor.anglican.org/index.html
