Marconi plaque, Ballycastle
This plaque, overlooking the harbour, commemorates the first commercial radio signal on 6 July 1896. It was sent from Rathlin to Ballycastle.

Ferry terminal, Ballycastle (2)
See Image The Calmac signs have now been replaced by those of the new operator. For the record, the enclosure on the left was used for checking tickets and searching vehicles during the days of the ferry to Campbeltown.

Marconi Memorial, Ballycastle

Marconi Memorial plaque
Located at Ballycastle, the following text is included, "Marconi Memorial Unveiled by John McAfee Chairman of Ballycastle Urban District Council on 6th July 1973. To recall the historic occasion when Marchese Marconi and his assistant George Kemp established wireless communication with Rathlin to report to Lloyd's station at Torr Head on ships passing along the north coast of the island"
