Dunaghy Independent Orange Hall
A hall used by the Independent Orange Order a separatist branch of what is sometimes called the "Old Order". Nearby Ballymoney was a centre for this breakaway movement in the early 1900's during the time of the controversial Home Rule era.

Dunaghy Orange Hall
This hall is used by Dunaghy Orange Lodge, members of the mainstream Orange Order. The third building down is the hall used by the Independent Order. It seems just a little strange that in a small village like this there would be room for two lodges but in the 1900s when the split occurred feelings were running high and even families were divided. That split still manifests itself to-day in the different Unionist parties.
