Ballymoney station (1)
The present railway station, dating from 1902, was designed by the railway’s architect/civil engineer Berkeley Deane Wise Image It is similar to that at Antrim Image and Image When built, it was served by the standard gauge Belfast – Londonderry trains and the narrow (3ft) gauge line to Ballycastle (1880-1950). This is the up platform. The signs were (I think) from the era of the Ulster Transport Authority.
