Train at Umbra level crossing
An NIR 70-class DEMU crosses the main road at Umbra between Downhill and Bellarena with the 08.00 passenger train from Londonderry to Belfast. Manually worked at this time, the crossing was later converted to automatic barriers.

Level crossing on the Coast Road by Umbra Cottage
This crossing is about 15 miles west of Coleraine and gives access to the various strands or beaches for which the region is famous.

Gates, Umbra level crossing near Downhill
Umbra level crossing http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=26443227 is now controlled by half barriers. Previously it was an open one controlled only by flashing lights. This shows the crossing (looking towards Downhill and Coleraine) when it had manually-operated gates.

Umbra Cottage and level crossing.
Level crossing on the Seacoast Road (A2) between Benone and Downhill. Umbra Cottage is occupied by Betty O'Kane who breeds German Shepherds.http://www.panoramio.com/user/574636

Umbra level crossing near Downhill
The level crossing at Umbra is where the Coleraine – Downhill – Limavady road crosses the Belfast – Londonderry railway. The train is the 14.40 Londonderry – Belfast Central. At the time the crossing was an open one controlled by flashing lights. It has now reverted to automatic barriers. The rear car is no 89 – the first of the fleet of 80-class railcars to be delivered.
