"The Emigrants", Atlantic Quay
The sculptures consist if two groups - the second set of folk lagging behind, almost hesitant on embarking on the arduous 6 to 7 week journey across the Atlantic Ocean and leaving their native land.

"The Emigrants", Derry / Londonderry
The sculptures have been removed from their previous location at Waterloo Place Image]
They are located at Atlantic Quay, adjoining Sainsbury's. Emigrants left from here in barges to catch a ship anchored off Moville to take them to America.
The waiting ships would have sailed across from Glasgow or Liverpool to anchor off deeper water in County Donegal.
