The Derry Manneken Pis
This little fellow was spotted taking a leak in a number of places along the walls of Derry. He was the adopted icon of a campaign against water charges.

The Tower Museum and the north-east wall
Do not be fooled by the mock-antiquity of the tower. It never even saw the Battle of the Bogside never mind the Siege of Derry as it was built in the 1980s. It now houses an impressive museum. http://www.discovernorthernireland.com/product.aspx?ProductID=2910

Irish inscription, The Playhouse
The building was originally built as a school for homeless girls but again was not used for that purpose. The Irish inscription above the Red Door (Teach Naoimh Iosep Fá Coinne Ár gCailiní /Clochar na Trócaire) loosely translates as "The House of St Joseph for our Girls staying at The Convent of Mercy" Actually the cross above the door is a bit of a give-away!
