St Columb's Cathedral, Derry / Londonderry

Bastions on the city walls, Derry / Londonderry
These walls built in 1613-1618 included eight bastions. They project out from the walls and are constructed where the walls change direction allowing soldiers to observe long stretches of wall on either side.
