St Columba's Long Tower
This church stands on the site of the first Catholic Church built in Derry following the relaxation of the Penal Laws in the 1780s. The two buildings to the left at those of the Longtower Catholic Primary School.

View across the Lower Bogside towards Celtic Park
With a capacity of 22,000 Celtic Park is home ground of the Derry GAA. The housing between the stadium and the city walls is modern having replaced the poor quality terraced housing which characterised the area up to the 1990s.
