"Welcome to Moneyneena"
This bi-lingual sign appears on either approach to the hamlet. The English spelling is different to that on the map.

Moneyneaney: the post office
There has been a post office in Moneyneaney since 1884 and the branch name has always had this spelling: an alternative version omits the final 'e' and indeed the postal address of the present-day office is 34 Moneyneany Road.
