Glider passengers, Ballyhackamore, Belfast (September 2018)
On the first day of the rapid transit bus service from Dundonald to Poleglass and the city centre to the Titanic Quarter, passengers await the arrival of the delayed 08.37 Dundonald - May Street. Such was the thrill and anticipation of this historic event that many had allowed three “red buses” to pass without boarding.

See Image Glider Van Hool Equi City rapid transit bus (3225 HGZ 8225) at the Ballyhackamore halt with the delayed 08.37 Dundonald - May Street. The queue of passengers is much longer than might be expected at 09.00.

Former First Trust bank, Ballyhackamore, Belfast (September 2017)
See Image (November 2013). Despite the transfer of business from the Stormont branch Image, the Knock branch (306 Upper Newtownards Road) closed on 28 July 2017 in another round of banking cuts. The bank’s website has an impact closure assessment which includes the following “52% DECLINE IN TRANSACTION VOLUMES AT THIS BRANCH OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS”. Now offered for sale. The agents’ description includes “Modern two storey commercial premises extending to c. 2,916 sq ft. The ground floor provides a bright and spacious open plan area with three private offices. The first floor comprises of two large boardrooms and two private offices. Potentially suitable for ground floor retail/restaurant use with upper floor apartments, subject to any required statutory consents.” For the record, this was once a Trustee Savings Bank.
