Elim Ballymena

Ballymena Town Hall
The building bears the dates 1684 - 1928.
A Market House had been built here in 1684 and traded for over a century until it was gutted by fire during the 1789 Rebellion. By the mid 1800s the town's market had relocated, making way for Ballymena's first Town Hall which was built on the site, only to fall victim to fire 60 years later. The foundation stone for the new building was laid in 1924 and it opened in 1928. In recent years, the building has been restored and extended as a combined museum and arts centre, called the Braid.

First Ballymena Presbyterian Church Halls
This is the oldest Presbyterian Church in the Ballymena area. It is also one of the oldest in Northern Ireland having been established by members of the Scottish Kirk who came during the Plantation of Ulster. The first Presbyterian minister to serve in the church back in 1627 was Rev George Dunbar.
