The Jubilee Pump, Broughshane
Broughshane is known as The Garden Village Of Ulster and is famous for its floral displays. In 1994 it was the winner of Ulster In Bloom, Britain In Bloom and Europe In Bloom and was the overall winner of the 2007 Britain In Bloom awards. Among famous people from Broughshane are actor James Nesbitt, who grew up in the village and Sir George White VC, the most decorated soldier in the British Army and the hero of the Siege of Ladysmith.
