Former Sydenham youth club, Belfast (1)
The former Sydenham youth club, at the corner of the Palmerston Road (foreground) and the Station Road, has been offered for sale for some time. The agents’ brochure describes it thus: “The subject site is zoned as “white land” and falls within the settlement development limit under the draft Belfast Metropolitan Area Plan. Given the predominantly residential land use in the immediate and surrounding area, the subject site would lend itself to a residential infill scheme, subject to planning”. This photograph appears as a matter of record only. I have no connection with any of the parties involved in the sale or any campaign against the closure.
