No 13 Connsbrook Avenue, Belfast (May 2014)
A large late-Victorian house, on the eastern side of Connsbrook Avenue, converted into flats and now vacant and boarded up. It was one of several villas in the area many of which have since been demolished and the sites used for the building of apartment blocks. The 1901 street directory shows the name “Inglewood” and that it and the neighbouring properties were unnumbered. By 1907 the adjacent properties had been allocated the numbers “11” and “15” but “Inglewood” remained without a number. In some streets “13” had the number “11½”. It was in Government use (as no 13) during World War II. Dundela Park is on the right.
