SAM Mouldings, Antrim
The UK's largest maker of MDF mouldings. Unique factory with CHP scheme using sawdust to power a pair of reciprocating steam engines (built 2001 and 2003). These have more recently been replaced by a steam turbine plant doing the same duty. The engines have been sold on for further use.

Modern steam engine, Springfarm Architectural Mouldings
This German built Spilling steam engine was installed and replaced in the first decade of the 21st century. This works makes MDF and the boiler is fired on waste from the process - a truly green site. Two of these single cylinder enclosed engines were installed but were superseded by a larger steam turbine.
