Signals, Antrim station
The down home signal at the junction between the ex GNR(I) line from Lisburn /Knockmore Jct and the NCC Belfast – Londonderry line. Interesting in that the signal to the main line is a GNR(I) lower quadrant while the others are NCC miniature somersaults (both minus their spectacles). Now replaced by colour lights. The locomotive is running towards the camera.

Railway at Antrim
The view from the Fountain Street overbridge towards Antrim station Image At the time, Londonderry line trains ran to Belfast York Road station Image via Monkstown Image In 1978 services were diverted to run, via Lisburn Image to Belfast Central. There was a short-lived local service over the line in 1980/81 after which it was used mainly for transfer of rolling stock. With the opening of the cross-harbour line in Belfast Image and the re-opening of Belfast Gt Victoria Street Image the route is now back in use (albeit as a single line). The train is the 12.25 Londonderry – Belfast York Road composed of MPD railcars 52,542 and 60.
