St John's Church, Glynn
This small church, consecrated in 1841, is an excellent example of a building in harmony with its surroundings. There are wooded banks to the rear and, behind the photographer, lies the valley of the Glynn River. The dark stone gives the impression that the building was created with the landscape. There are some 1990's houses close to the adjacent graveyard (to the south) but they have - fortunately - not intruded upon the church or the serenity of the setting.

Lane to St John's church, Glynn
This is the lane leading from the Shore Road at Glynn (sometimes “The Glynn”) to St John’s church. A superb setting for a very attractive church. There was also a delightful smell of damp wood and vegetation.

Glynn station, Northern Ireland Railways (1)
The single-platform station at Glynn (sometimes “The Glynn”) opened in 1864 two years after the line. There was a pleasant mock-Tudor station building but it fell into disrepair after the station was de-staffed in the late 60’s and was, eventually, demolished. The present building is a simple bus-style shelter. This is the view to Larne Harbour.
