The Inver is a short river which flows through Larne before entering Larne Lough close to the railway station. It is shallow. This mallard was standing on the bottom.

St Cedma's parish church, Larne
St Cedma is believed to have been the father of St Comgall who was born in nearby Magheramorne. The date of construction of this CoI parish church is not known but the tower has a stone with the date “1778”. It is thought that the site was originally occupied by a friary. See also Image

Larne war memorial
Larne war memorial consists of a Portland stone cenotaph, 16 ft in height, with the names of the 147 from the town who died in WW1. The pedestal has life-sized figures of a sailor and soldier in bronze. It used to stand in front of the old Latharna Hotel but was removed (if my memory is correct) in August 1973. It is now in a garden close to St Cedma’s Church.
