(Almost) redundant ferry terminal, Belfast
For some years this terminal has been used for ferries departing Belfast for Stranraer in Scotland (see Image). Following the construction of a new terminal closer to the mouth of the port, this has become semi-redundant and all services are scheduled to be removed from here on July 10th 2008.

Mooring bollard, Belfast
Mooring bollard at York Dock, Belfast Image It is marked "CONNOR & OLLEY CONTRACTORS" Any further information on this firm is welcomed. I think that they were a firm of 19th Century contractors involved in large scale building and engineering works such as laying railways and constructing docks. The tug moored behind is the 'Norton Cross' http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=14076757 .

The “Stena Hibernia” paid a short visit to the Albert Quay today. The Heysham service is currently expected to make its temporary move starting with the arrival of the “Stena Scotia” on 14 June 2019.
