DH and passenger train, Bleach Green Jct near Whiteabbey
The six-coupled “DH” class locomotives were intended for shunting and hauling permanent-way trains. On this occasion (due to relaying and re-signalling at Belfast York Road station) no 2 was used to haul the “Portrush Flyer” steam train, over the short distance between Greenisland and Bleach Green Jct. The train is coming off the up Larne line at Bleach Green.

Bleach Green viaducts, Newtownabbey Co. Antrim
One of the three railway viaducts where the Larne line diverges from the Londonderry line. The two modern concrete ones were built in 1934 with the Larne line passing under the Londonderry line, the only example of a burrowing viaduct junction in Ireland.. The older Victorian stone arch dates from 1848.
