The Horseshoe Bar, Newtownhamilton
This bar was auctioned in 2015 but due to "local difficulties" did not continue trading. This is not an unknown feature in South Armagh where there is strong opposition to the auctioning of premises subject to foreclosure. The PSNI had hoped to acquire the site to facilitate the expansion of the present station but due to local opposition had to withdraw their application.
