Cortamlet Primary School, Cortamlet
Cortamlet School is located in a very rural area, less than a mile less from the Border with Co Monaghan and some three miles south west of the small market town of Newtownhamilton. The school which was opened some 50 years ago has around 100 pupils. It is a Christian ethos school reflecting the values of this largely Presbyterian farming community.

Clarkesbridge Presbyterian Church from the entrance to Glen Road
This congregation was first formed in 1791. A schism in the 1840s led to the formation of a rival congregation Tullyvallan Reformed Presbyterian Church on the Tullyneill Road. In 1887 Clerkesbridge formed a union with the First Newtownhamilton church and briefly in the 1930s with Garmany's Grove and McKelvey's Grove. First Newtownhamilton closed in the 1980s and 1999 Garmany's Grove and McKelvey's Grove rejoined the union. The union are part of the Newry Presbytery.

Clarkesbridge Presbyterian Church
This church is situated on the Cortamlat Road, in the townland of the same name, near the hamlet of Altnamackan. It is combined with First Newtownhamilton Presbyterian Church, which closed some years ago.
