The front of the St John the Evangelist Church, Hilltown
This fine Catholic chapel dates from the 1850s and was built on land gifted by Narcissus Batt, a Belfast merchant and banker, who had large land holdings in the Hilltown area and whose walls still remain a feature of the Mourne uplands between Hilltown and Atticall.
