I examined both sides of the cutting and found only boulder clay - there was no sign of a rock core.

The upper end of Glenloughan Road
Beyond the bungalow, and in square Image, the lower section of the Finlieve track can be seen the hill side. This was once a turbary track but is now used by farmers to move their sheep to and from the upland pastures and by the occasional hill walker.
