Mussel boats, Warrenpoint
The Town Dock at Warrenpoint has been re-built to accommodate most of the fleet working the mussel beds of Carlingford Lough. There are four boats present here – the “Cornelis Gerrit”, “Celtic Harvester”, “Wings of the Morning” and “Rona”.

Mussel dredgers at Warrenpoint harbour
Carlingford Lough is an area of considerable natural beauty. It is also a busy waterway with commercial harbours at Warrenpoint and Greenore. There are mussel beds in the Lough and there is mussel harvesting on a significant scale. Three of the dredgers involved in the trade are seen at the re-built Town Dock at Warrenpoint.
