Loughorne House
This was the birth place of "Honest" John Martin, the Presbyterian Irish nationalist and leading light in the Young Ireland movement. Exiled to Van Diemen's Land (now better known as Tasmania) for political agitation he later became the first Irish Home Rule MP. On his death, the seat, in Co Meath, became that of Charles Stewart Parnell. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Martin_(Young_Irelander)
