The interior of Newry's Ulsterbus Waiting Room
Ulsterbus provides modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable bus stations in all the main towns of the Province. How I wish, those members of my County Council, always bemoaning the decline in tourist numbers, but who readily approved the afterthought of a bus station at Caernarfon - a graffiti backed pavement open to the elements at the side of multi storey car park with buses vying to find drop-off and pick-up spaces - would visit Ulster to see how different things could be with a bit of initiative and imagination.

Public Realm Work in Hill Street
Two of Newry's main shopping streets, Hill Street and Monaghan Street, are being upgraded. The scheme has ruffled feathers amongst the town's businessmen who complain that people can not get to their shops.

The boarding area of the Ulsterbus Station, Newry
This photo was taken on a Saturday morning. For some reason bus services in Ulster are curtailed on Saturday. The bus standing at the far end of the concourse is the 341 Service to Newry (NIR) Rail Station to connect with the two hourly Enterprise Train Service which connects Belfast and Dublin.

Dissident Protest Slogan on a wall in Marcus Street
Here the dissidents have been trumped by linguistic nationalists who have stuck a Gaeilge sticker indicating their displeasure that the slogan is written in English.
