The hardy Mourne Sheep viewed from Tullybrannigan Road
Though hardy, some Mourne farmers consider the Mourne Blackface sheep with their single off-spring as being uneconomic and have looked to other breeds. One of these is the Lleyn breed from North Wales. http://www.lleynsheep.com/killen.htm

Pastureland and woodland around Tullybrannigan Road
The town of Newcastle and Dundrum Bay lies behind the trees. The peaks of Ellan Vannin (the Isle of Man) can be seen on the horizon. When in Ulster, I have always considered the Isle of Man a direct link with home, the other side of the island, known in Wales as Ynys Manaw, being equally visible from the northern foothills of Snowdonia.
