Mound, Katesbridge Presbyterian Church
There are some trees growing out of it; I am wondering if this is ancient or if it was the original level of the ground with the surrounding area reduced in level.

Road to Rathfriland, Katesbridge
Heading south towards the original area of the Brontë family. More famous for their Yorkshire connection, it is not widely known that Patrick Brontë (17 March 1777 – 7 June 1861), was born in County Down, Ireland, of a very poor family of farm workers. He became the Anglican curate of the parish of Haworth, and was a poet, writer, and polemicist. More at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bront%C3%AB_family

Katesbridge By-pass
This is where the A50 Banbridge to Castlewellan road bypasses the village of Katesbridge, visible to the left. This long, flat section provides an opportunity to pass the lorries and agricultural vehicles that are only too common along here - anyone who has ever tried to get to/from Newcastle in a hurry will understand this.
