Old Belfast-Dublin road near Banbridge (1)
Much of the Belfast-Dublin road between the M1 at Sprucefield and Loughbrickland was re-built as an all-purpose dual carriageway in the 1970’s. The road had previously been a twisting single carriageway. This is an abandoned part of the old road at Tullyraine, north of Banbridge, with the dual carriageway in the background. Just consider what it would have be like if that traffic was still using the old road!
