Former Presbyterian church, Strangford
Built (depending on the source used) in 1845 or 1846, the church always seems to have had a small congregation never exceeding 30. It closed on 7 December 2003 by which time there were but two regulars. Listed since 1978, the building is offered for sale. On a cramped site, nature is doing its best to reclaim the small grounds. Image shows the front of the building. On the "At Risk" register.

See Image The front of the building, seen from the Downpatrick Road. The agent’s “for sale” board shows that the asking price has been reduced. On the "At Risk" register.

Gates, Strangford
The imposing gates at the entrance to Dufferin Avenue Image on the Downpatrick Road. Time plays tricks with memory but I have a notion that they were erected within the last three (or so) years. The (slightly concealed) entrance to the Strangford Bay path is just out of picture to the left.

The disused Presbyterian Church at Strangford
This listed building dates back to the 1840s. Unlike the Ards, Lecale was never a stronghold of Presbyterianism.
