Downpatrick war memorial
Downpatrick war memorial was designed and erected by two locals – Messrs S & T Hastings. It is made from Portland stone and depicts a rifleman. It has not weathered too well.

The Quoile River (in flood) near Downpatrick
The Quoile, approaching Downpatrick, flows through an area which is only a few feet above sea level. The river is in flood after persistent and heavy rain. The view is downstream from the Belfast road with Portulla Wood in the background.
