Former mill chimney, Crumlin
Long-since closed, the former Ulster Woollen Mill has a history going back to 1765. Some of the buildings are still in use and the chimney remains. More about the mill’s history is available here http://www.doeni.gov.uk/niea/built/buildview?id=11340&js=true. The chimney is not on the official “at risk” register.

Noel Playfair at Crumlin
Now there's a man that enjoys his work. Noel Playfair, a diesel train driver at the controls of the RPSI preserved steam engine UTA 4.
Noel Playfair is the only NIR driver passed out to drive steam engines.

Railway Bridge
This bridge carries the single-line railway track from Lisburn to Antrim. It crosses both the road and the Crumlin river. It was built in 1915 by James Findlay and Co. Ltd. of Motherwell.

Railway viaduct, Crumlin (3)
See Image Reinforcing (no maker’s name visible) on the northern parapet. Added (to the best of my knowledge), in the early 1970’s, in preparation for the line’s re-opening to passenger trains.
