Factories at Newport Quay
Factories at Newport Quay, these are modern built factories at Newport Quay and replaced the earlier brick built coal warehouses. The Lagan Canal originally ran on the lefthand side of the motorway, where the car is in the photo.

The Old School House
The old School House at Newport, located on the Halftown Rd. To the left of the photo, but out of view, was the Lagan Canal, the Halftown Rd crossed a stone bridge and joined up with the Culcavey Rd at Newport. When the motorway was constructed, the canal was filled in and the stone bridge removed, and replaced with the bridge I made this photo from.
