Bus, Drumbo
An Ulsterbus passing through Drumbo village. The number on the front is 013 but I think that this is actually the 13D from Belfast Europa Buscentre to Drumbo and back. Journey time from Belfast to Drumbo is 39 minutes.

Old pump, Drumbo
Detail of an old pump, complete with handwheel, located near the junction of Back Road and Front Road in Drumbo Image This is the inscription which I think reads "W. Willis, Dublin Road, Belfast" and the date 1900. A W. Willis is listed in the 1901 Belfast Street Directory at number 33 Dublin Road, listed as a "plumber, gas and steam fitter". The firm 'Willis Heating & Plumbing Co. Ltd.' was still trading on the Dublin Road in the 1980s - see Image (although they may not have been related) and the name Willis is still to be found on the road today - Image

Dumbo Round Tower
Standing in the churchyard of Drumbo Presbyterian Church (see Image). It is not complete, however, as the top section has been removed or destroyed. Round towers were constructed all over Ireland in the 9th - 12th centuries as belfries and monastic keeps. See http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2829904 for other examples from around Ireland (and some elsewhere in the British Isles). See also http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=11230903 for some other images of the tower.
