See Image More than 29 years later there is a noticeable growth in the lineside trees as the 10.35 Belfast – Dublin “Enterprise” (9003/206) passes the Wallace Park, on the approach to the Magheralave Road bridge and Lisburn station. Image shows the departure.

Goods train. Lisburn
Cross-Border railfreight is now but a memory. This Dundalk – Adelaide goods had a mixed load – bulk cement tanks, Guinness/Harp kegs and fertiliser. Furthermore it was double headed. GNR(I) lower quadrant semaphore signals too.

Delayed train, Lisburn
For much of the seventies trains were often subject to long delays due to bomb hoaxes and (sometimes) the real thing. This one had been delayed so much that it was not possible to identify it. It is formed of MED stock dating from the early 50’s.
