The Moira Road near Hillsborough
See Image and Image The Moira Road, on the Moira side of the Beechfield Bridge Image across the M1. Some of the road follows a course through the flat countryside between the M1 and the Lagan. This stretch is an exception. The St James Road runs off to the right (lower middle).

The M1 at Lisadian near Hillsborough (1)
The M1, looking towards Moira and Dungannon, from the Beechfield Bridge Image on the Hillsborough – Moira road. Further west the motorway is built on the line of the old Lagan canal. This stretch just manages to avoid it – the remains can be seen, parallel to the road, at the upper left. This section (Sprucefield – Moira) opened in 1965.
